Estuarine Management and Technologies is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. P. R. Jayachandran, Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Applied Research Center for Environment and Marine Studies, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, as a Subject Editor.

 

Dr. P. R. Jayachandran is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Applied Research Center for Environment and Marine Studies, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. He is a marine ecologist with over 16 years of research experience across estuarine, mangrove, seagrass, and coral ecosystems spanning tropical to polar regions. His research integrates benthic community ecology, functional traits, bioindicators, and environmental DNA (eDNA) to assess ecosystem health and monitor marine bioinvasions. His current work focuses on detecting invasive alien species in the Arabian Gulf using eDNA metabarcoding. Dr. Jayachandran has published over 50 SCI-indexed papers, edited books and training manuals, and described several new species. He serves as a Subject Editor for One Ecosystem, has reviewed more than 100 manuscripts, and is a Fellow of Future Earth Coasts. He also contributes to several IUCN commissions and international scientific networks.
